What surfaces Chalkola acrylics work on
Every kit works on the same range of surfaces — canvas, ceramic, clay, rocks, glass, plastic, wood, fabric (with textile medium), masonry, and more. Chalkola acrylic paint is flexible once cured, so it holds up on everything from stretched canvas to rock painting and custom ceramics without cracking. For outdoor projects, seal with a clear acrylic varnish after a 24-hour cure.

Are Chalkola acrylics artist grade or student grade?
Artist grade. Our 22 ml tubes carry rich, highly-pigmented formula, AP non-toxic certification, and ASTM D-4236 + EN71 safety certifications — the same standards used by professional brands. Upgrade to professional / single-pigment archival grade only when you start selling or entering juried shows that scrutinise lightfastness.
Can I buy individual replacement tubes?
Not currently — Chalkola ships complete kits only, not individual replacement tubes. Heavy-use colours like titanium white run out first. When you notice one tube getting low, order your next kit early so you don't hit a gap mid-project.
Are the paints non-toxic and safe for kids?
Yes. All three kits are AP-certified non-toxic, ASTM D-4236 compliant, and EN71 certified — safe for home, classroom, and painters aged six and up. Water based, so skin and hands wash clean. Only keep dried paint off clothing, because once cured, acrylic is permanent.
How long do the paint tubes last unopened?
Sealed Chalkola acrylic tubes stay workable for 5+ years on a shelf, often longer. Once opened, cap tightly and expect 2–3 years of workable life per tube. Store away from direct sunlight and heat — both shorten shelf life.
Which kit has the easel?
Both the 56 Pcs kit (plastic tabletop easel) and the 95 Pcs kit (wooden tabletop easel with storage) include an easel. The 40 Pcs starter kit does not include one — you can lay canvases flat on a table or add an easel separately.
